Your People Are Your Brand

I have discovered that in most cases, no matter how good your products are, you can’t achieve true business excellence without excellent people on the team.  Many people agree that their people are their brand.  Every company hopes to attract, develop and keep great people to represent their brand.  How do you do that? Do you have a system that ensures consistent results?  Are you proactive in obtaining this objective.  Take a look at how we view the situation and try it out – no charge.  I think you will like the results.

At Tricycle, Inc. we like to ask our employees to represent our brand with “PRIDE”, and to do that we have to “RAVE” on them.  We define this management style by using the acronym R.A.V.E.:

Respect, Appreciate, and Value Everyone. When everyone matters and everyone knows he or she matters, employees are happy to come to work, and they’re eager to give you their energy, creativity, and loyalty. The results are predictable:  more productivity and satisfaction; less absenteeism and turnover.  How you flesh each of these out in your business is up to you, but believe me your staff will notice.

Excellent people emerge when you RAVE over them, they in turn show PRIDE for your brand. The results of our RAVE management style is based entirely on this acronym.

P.R.I.D.E.;

Passion, Respect, Integrity, Drive, and Energy. We hope all employees can exude maximum PRIDE in their workplace.  These are core values that we expect and when we RAVE on our team, we can feel confident we had a part in helping each of them take ownership in these values too.

The company benefits of our “RAVE” management style is of course financial in nature, but true excellence is realized by all, when you develop your people into their true potential – the whole team exudes “PRIDE” in all they do.

I will blog more about team building and developing a preferred culture from within your organization – stay tuned.
